Thursday's Extra Credit Question: The Autobiography of Malcolm X

The Autobiography of Malcolm X raises the question, can blacks and whites be equals in America? Also, is non-violence better than violence when fighting against racism? Think about how Malcolm's views on race and religion did or did not change over the course of the book.

I do think blacks and whites can be equal in America. I think people just need to stop looking at the color of the skin nut how they act.Yes non-violence is better than violence anytime. You can fight against something and not put your hands on anybody or killing somebody.

I think that we can become an equal nation and not look at each others skin colors. I also think that non violence is better than violence because it has gotten us a long way already.

I strongly believe that blacks and whites can become equal and be one United States of America regardless of skin color. But the only way that people can be equal regardless of race is if everyone wants to be equal it takes more than one person to make this happen. Yes, non-violence is better than violence because fighting doesn't resolve anything.-Kyra:4th period

i think if we all be mature people in handling the situation, we can get past our differences and think of each other as equals. i also think non violence is best because if we kill each other who is going to be left to solve anything and that is not the mature thing to do
