In the Bible the angel Gabriel is a divine messenger. What does the choice of this name for the newchild suggest about Gabe’s importance in the novel?

I think that Gabriel's importance to the story is that, since in the bible it says that Gabriel was like a messenger, Gabe in the story could use his ways to communicate with other people. Like sign language or pointing to things. Another importance would be (this may sound funny) a fortune teller! Lol
I think that Gabe is important to the story because this shows that he may have started out weak but will get better. Also I think that this means that Gabe will grow and and potentially help people despite his problems now. In other words he will become as I call it maybe "The Barer of all Messages". (cool).
I think Gabriel's importance, in the Giver was like a messenger to Jonas an the Giver, that things will change in the community because, before Gabriel, Jonas's family had 2 children, but when Gabriel came in they became 3, and it is against the community's law for a couple to have more than 2 children in a family unit. So,that is what I think that it is the importance of Gabriel.

I think Gabe's importance is to give a suspence to the story. Like he is premature then he is healthy
Since in the bible gabriel is like the heavenly messenger, this might signify that gabriel is like a messenger of what is to come.
